Charleston, SC is ranked by Travel+Leisure as a top foodie city!!

Travel + Leisure has ranked Charleston, SC at #9 top city for a foodie to visit! How exciting is that!! I totally agree, as you may well guess ;) It makes me even more thrilled to be living here. The other nine cities are ones that we may have guessed or be surprised by. There were a few cities that did not make it that I thought would have. Here is the article http://travel.yahoo.com/p-interests-40686622

One of the cities I thought would be one the list was Minneapolis, MN. I recently just returned from there visiting my new nephew, brother, and sister in law. Minneapolis was an incredible city and since my brother Nate is a foodie too, he took me to some great local restaurants. One of them, Saffron, has had their chef compete on Food Network's Iron Chef! They had good Middle Eastern/Mediterranean influence cuisine. Got to try lamb brain, which after eating I was asked if I had any desire to eat grass!! LOL ;) No, but I am not sure I will be eating it again. But I am a firm believer to try everything once and to always thank your host for feeding you. Minneapolis has a HUGE range in food styles. You can literary try every kind of food there, especially in the area called Uptown. Another fantastic aspect of Minneapolis is that you can walk or bike to tons if great local restaurants and local water holes. I love the closeness of having a culinary adventure just down the street!

So I guess I better pack my bags and make a USA food pilgrimage to the rest of these top foodie cities. The amazing thing about food is that no matter what city, country, dinning in or out food is a blessing, time to thank God for the gift of taste buds, and time enjoy the people around you! Bon Appétit!
